Purpose
We empower orphans and women through education and economic independence. We believe education can break the cycle of poverty, and we are committed to providing quality education to all children. Our programs and partnerships aim to improve the lives of Congo's most vulnerable
Inspiration and Motivation
Created for Community was established in order to create a positive and lasting impacts on the lives of Orphans, to alleviate their suffering and improve their quality of lives through education. Growing up as an orphan, school was the constant anchor when things kept changing around us. After the Congo war of 1997, school provided a safe place for us to feel a sense of belonging and help us keep hope alive and achive our dream of a better life. I’ve always wanted to help children like me who were less fortunate to afford access to education.
Challenges
Our biggest challenge remains to prevent child homelessness. We are constantly working towards finding solutions to ensure every child has a safe and secure place to call home. The children we support are orphans that are taken care of by guardians, who are women who welcome them in their houses despite their financial situation. Still, children could end up on the street as situations get difficult. Our dedicated team in Kinshasa and Kivu works closely with guardians to ensure that they have the resources they need to provide for the children in their care. This includes access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities such as food and clothing.
Vision
Our vision is a world where every child has access to education, and every woman has the opportunity to achieve economic independence, regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe that empowering orphans and women is essential to social and economic progress. We aim to create a world where Congolese boys and girls have the chance to reach their full potential and are valued and supported.
